Q: Do you test on animals?
A: No, we do not test on animals.
Q: Do you offer a pick-up option?
A: No, we currently do not offer a pick-up option, but we hope to make this an option in our future.
Q: Can I apply your body butters to my face?
A: Although Original Butter and Glaze Butter are both very moisturizing for the body, we do not recommend you apply the product on the face. Both products contain coconut oil which, although is very hydrating for skin and hair, is a comedogenic. In simple terms, this means it clogs your pores which may result in blackheads and breakouts.
Q: Will Original Butter help soothe my eczema?
A: Yes. One of the key ingredients in Original Butter is coconut oil which contains Lauric Acid. Lauric Acid is a nutritious fatty acid, or lipid, also found in breast milk. It is used to develop monolaurin, which is an antimicrobial agent that can fight bacteria, fungi, yeast, viruses and other pathogens. In other words, when you hear people talk about coconut oil having antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties beneficial to eczema, they are correct. The main ingredient, Shea Butter helps to increase moisture retention by acting as a protective layer over your skin and preventing water loss on the first layer, as well as penetrating to enrich the other layers, helpful for those with eczema.
